Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Salary: £14.90 per hour, plus £50 per sleep-in
Full-time | Permanent

Are you an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker who is confident leading shifts and supporting young people with complex behaviours?

We’re recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a solo EBD children’s home in Wolverhampton. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands behaviour, can look beyond the immediate situation and help a team deliver calm, consistent and therapeutic support.

The Role As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Lead shifts and support the wider care team
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the young person
• Support the team to understand behaviours, triggers and underlying factors
• Help develop consistent strategies and therapeutic responses
• Support safeguarding and ensure high standards of care
• Complete and oversee key-work sessions and care records
• Provide guidance and support to Residential Support Workers
• Promote positive outcomes and independence

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
• Experience working in a children’s residential care setting
• Experience leading shifts or supporting other staff
• Confidence supporting young people with EBD and challenging behaviour
• Full UK driving licence
• A calm, resilient and consistent approach
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and communication skills

Salary £14.90 per hour, plus £50 per sleep-in
