Senior Residential Support Worker
Earls Barton, Northamptonshire | £14.50 per hour | £30,160–£32,656 + £7,200 Sleeps
Hargate Healthcare are recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for a new children’s home in Earls Barton, Northamptonshire.
The home will provide a therapeutic approach to residential childcare, combining careand therapy to support young people and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day care of the young people and act as a positive role model.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the physical, social and emotional needs of young people
- Creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment
- Encouraging young people to participate in activities and opportunities that build confidence and self-esteem
- Supporting and contributing to individual care plans
- Completing reports and maintaining accurate records
- Managing behaviours that challenge in a calm and consistent manner
- Working alongside families, social workers and other professionals
- Supporting the wider staff team and helping maintain high standards within the home
- Participating in household duties and creating a welcoming home environment
Salary & Benefits
- £14.50 per hour
- £30,160–£32,656 basic salary, depending on contracted hours
- Up to approximately £7,200 per annum from sleep-ins

Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year’s experience working within a children’s home
- Experience supporting young people with behaviours that challenge
- A caring, resilient and confident approach
- Ability to think on your feet and respond positively to challenging situations
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
