Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home
Location: Kingsbury, North West London, NW9
Salary: £15.00-£15.50 per hour (£31,200-£32,240 per annum) plus sleep-ins
 
Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career?
 
We are looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a supportive children’s home in Kingsbury, North West London. You’ll play an important role in supporting young people while also helping to guide the staff team and maintain high standards of care.
 
The role will include:

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
  • Supporting young people with their daily routines and individual needs
  • Leading shifts and providing guidance to the staff team
  • Supporting and mentoring Residential Support Workers
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills
  • Supporting with activities, appointments and community engagement
  • Helping to create a safe, caring and homely environment
  • Completing and reviewing records, reports and care documentation
  • Supporting safeguarding procedures and responding appropriately to concerns
  • Working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals
  • Taking part in the sleep-in rota

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, Residential Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification
  • Experience working within a children’s residential care setting
  • Previous supervisory, shift lead or senior-level experience
  • Confidence in leading shifts and supporting other team members
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people
